Making a Difference in the Life of Your Dog!

Our Training Programs

Trained dogs enjoy their lives more because their families aren't constantly upset and frustrated with them. Also, studies have shown that dogs who go through training have longer lives, due to less stress and anxiety. Your dog will thrive in an environment where exercise, discipline, and affection are practiced routinely. Our goal is to improve your relationship with your dog for a more enjoyable life together.

Prior to training a free evaluation with you and your dog is needed. We offer you a tour of the facility along with an obedience demonstration. A canine questionnaire is completed to gather information about your dog's behavior, previous training, and personality type. This information is then used to help determine the best approach to maximize results.

* Puppy Preschool

It is important to begin an educational program with your puppy at an early age. This imprinting sets the tone for the kind of life you will experience together. With weekly group lessons, you and your puppy will learn about socialization, confidence building, problem solving, and basic dog care.

* Group Socialization

This unique program is comprehensive and uses pack drive in its approach. The group setting might be called polishing class. After an initial evaluation, some pre-training of your dog may be required before they can enter the social area. The class is an advanced socialization process that focuses on the dogs that are typically excluded from doggie day cares and other socialization classes. We also use this group for newly trained dogs and handlers to work with their dogs with higher distractions in a fun way. This program offers an opportunity to help dogs that otherwise might not ever be able to run with other dogs, and proof training for your dog's newly acquired skills.

* Private Lessons - Option 1

Lessons are typically scheduled at a training facility. Our trainer will go one-on-one with you and your dog to help you teach your dog the required skills to make a difference in your dog's attitude and behavior. Owners will practice at home between each training session. A strong commitment on your part to practice several times a day is necessary for this approach to be effective. The number of lessons required will be determined by owner's goals, the dog's temperament, and the ability of the owner to invest time and energy to achieve desired results. Your Private Lesson package will include our group socialization class once some obedience has been established. The package consists of 3 private and 2 social classes, or 4 private and 1 social. Social class is simply you and your dog practicing newly learned skills, in a controlled environment with a higher level of distractions.

* K9 to 5 - Option 2

Drop Off/Pick Up Daily · On Leash

Training This is a flexible way to have your dog trained. It is primarily for those having little time to devote to training, or for those dogs who have been difficult for owners and other trainers. Think of it as a day school or boot camp. You drop off your dog each morning and we will conduct 5 to 7 training sessions throughout the day with your dog. Your dog will also have opportunities to socialize with other dogs during their training. We will take them on field trips to practice skills in a more distracting real world environment. When you pick up your dog at the end of the day, you'll receive a mini lesson for homework. This homework is how we transfer the leadership and skills to you, as your dog learns at her own pace. We work on basic or advanced skills contingent on your dog's demonstrated skills and the owner's goals. The number of days required is based on the dog's learning curve and the behavioral issues which need to be addressed, but is typically 5 to 10 training days.

* Board and Train - Option 3

Dog under fence Looking for structure and balance in your dog's behavior? We can help. Boarding programs are similar to our K9 to 5 programs but include staying over several nights with us. This program is for those who are unable to drop off or attend daily because of lifestyle or distance restrictions. Dogs are often confused about their role or place in our human family unit. We begin by providing exercise, discipline, and affection in the proper way. We go one-on-one with your dog to teach basic or advanced-- and even off-leash capabilities-- in real world situations.
